The Edo State Government, through the Edo Creative Hub, recently concluded an intensive 8-day training program on Sound Editing with Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 and Video Editing with DaVinci Resolve. The training, which took place from February 19th to February 26th, 2024, aimed to enhance the skills of local filmmakers and position them for success in the dynamic world of film production.
Participants had the unique opportunity to delve into advanced sound design and production techniques, focusing on the intricacies of Dolby Atmos, a crucial element for high-profile movie projects featured on platforms like Netflix and in cinemas.
One of the participants shared their experience, stating, "The masterclass was an exposé on sound design/production, especially in film production. For someone like me who has experience in sound design and has worked on short films in Edo State, I am delighted to have learned Dolby Atmos, which is a requirement for big movie projects on platforms like Netflix and in the cinema. My confidence and skills have been built to take on any project that requires Dolby Atmos."
The Edo Creative Hub continues to play a pivotal role in nurturing and empowering local talents in the creative industry. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to providing state-of-the-art training and resources, ensuring that Edo State remains a hub for creative excellence.
The successful completion of this masterclass underscores the Edo State Government's dedication to fostering skill development, encouraging innovation, and contributing to the growth of the local film industry.
